Earning on Studz
Studz uses one currency, Bricks. Players earn them for logging in and spend them on avatar items, game passes and tips. Creators earn them when people buy what they made.
Ways to earn
| Source | How it works | Studz's cut |
|---|---|---|
| Game passes | You create a pass for a game (a perk, an area, a cosmetic). A player buys it once and owns it for good. Scripts check who owns it with player:HasGamePass(id). | 5% |
| Avatar clothing | Submit shirts and pants on the Clothing page. After staff approve one it is sold in the catalog. | 2% |
| Tips | Players can tip a game's creator from its page. | none |
What you see on the Earnings page is what you actually received, after the cut.
Game passes
Open a game in the hub, then its Passes tab. Give the pass a name, a description and a price, and put it on sale. You can take it off sale at any time; people who already bought it keep it. The tab shows how many you sold and what you earned.
Badges
Badges are rewards a game's server hands out ("Beat the final level"). They are for bragging rights and don't cost or earn Bricks. Make them on a game's Badges tab and award them from a script.
Earnings page
The Earnings page shows the last 7 days, the last 30 days and all-time, a chart of the last 30 days, a split by source, and your most recent sales with who bought what.
Good to know
- A pass costs between 1 and 100,000 Bricks, and a game can have up to 20.
- Clothing that other players bought can only be taken off sale, not deleted.
- If you spot someone abusing a pass or item, report it from its page.
